Nero includes: Nero Burning Rom – an application for burning and copying CDs. Nero Express is actually the same Nero Burning Rom with a redesigned user interface. Nero BackItUp – application for saving the hard disk (in whole or in part) Nero Cover Designer – editor for creating and printing covers for CD and DVD. Nero Wave Editor – audio file editor. Nero SoundTrax is a professional tool for creating your own audio discs. Nero ImageDrive is an application for working with virtual CDs. In addition, Nero includes a number of useful tools: Nero CD-DVD Speed - testing a CD or DVD drive. Nero DriveSpeed - allows you to control the speed of rotation of a CD or DVD drive. Nero InfoTool – allows you to find out the capabilities of your CD or DVD drive, provides information about the system. All features of the program combines Nero StartSmart – which is essentially a common menu for all of the listed tools and applications.
The program in question over many years of work on the global software market has already managed to win the hearts of many PC users, from beginners to real computer world gurus. And all this is due to the huge software features and an extremely simple user interface that is understandable even to novice PC users at the level of intuition.
After installation, run the program, in the main menu at the very top in the drop-down list, select the disc format with which you want to work further (by clicking on the headers, find and) click on “burn DVD with data” (well, this is if you are burning a DVD disc ) or we select that variant of a disk on which you write. After clicking on this button, a window will appear. By dragging and dropping everything we want to record there, or you can use the “add” button for this. At the bottom there is a strip and linear divisions, which show the degree of occupancy of the disk of the selected format. See that this strip does not exceed the limit.
When you put everything on the disc that you wanted to record, click on the “next” button. In the disk name field, you can somehow name it if you want, by default it will be called “My Disk”. Here (in this window) we set the recording speed, usually from 4x to 32x, it all depends on the recording speed of your drive and the used disc. Almost always on blank discs for recording are written the ranges of recording speeds that the disc supports. RW spanks usually support lower speeds than R-ki, this is because they are reusable and speeds are reduced so that they are not overwritten much. It is recommended to burn a disc at low speeds (4x for example) it will take longer but the recording quality will be much better. The more expensive the blanks, the higher their permissible recording speeds. Well, we figured out the speeds. Now look at the “current recorder” field there should be the letter of the drive through which you want to write the disc, if something is changed to the one you need. Here (on this window), the number of copies (by default, one) and the check boxes for checking the disc after recording, as well as the checkmark “close the disc” are set. If you check the box “allow adding files (multisession)”, then with a pat you can add this disk. If you are not going to add it, then it is better to close the disk. at the same time, it will store data better. You can enable the check so that the program checks the disk for errors after recording. That’s all, push the disk into the drive and click on the “record” button. After which we wait for some time and enjoy the drive with the stick.
If you want to “copy” a disc to your disc, you must either create a disk image (2) or in the program menu click on the button “Copy DVD (CD)” (1)
1. After clicking, the program will request a disk, from which we will make a copy. We insert the disc, wait until Nero copies everything and after that it will offer to insert the disc for recording, insert it and wait while the recording process is in progress. That’s all, a full copy of the disk is created. But in this case, you will not have a virtual copy of the disk on your computer since the program deletes it immediately after recording.
2. If you decide to create a disk image then in the program menu you must select the option “create disk image”. We insert the disk and wait while the image is being created. After creation, the image will be saved in the previously specified directory. If you need to burn this image, then in the main menu of the Nero program click on “burn disk image”, then specify the path to the image and insert a blank disk. After burning the image to disk, you will have a full copied disk.
How to burn a music CD
Burning a music CD is also very similar to a regular one, there are only a few nuances.
Firstly, the scale at the bottom of the screen is not measured in megabytes, but in minutes, for a more convenient user experience. Also, on the right, you can check the boxes so that the program will automatically normalize all sound tracks and remove pauses between songs (useful for recording concert songs).
