Firefox Internet Explorer Opera Who is the champion among browsers?
Meeting a snowdrop in February is as difficult as finding a computer that does not have a browser installed.
A browser is a window on the Internet. From this program it will depend on how quickly your windows open, how safe and convenient you are to use the World Wide Web.
I got a computer 12 years ago, I started using the Internet 10 years ago, and since then I have tried all the browsers that were popular at that time.
I offer a small comparative analysis of these programs, namely Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera.
You can analyze browsers for many reasons, but medium ones can clearly distinguish three main ones – this is security, functionality and speed.
You can immediately recognize Internet Explorer as an outsider in this list of browsers, as it is without a doubt the most vulnerable. This is due to several factors:
1. This browser is the most popular among Internet users, and therefore, it is against it that hackers write the largest number of programs to penetrate the computer.
2. Unlike other similar programs, Explorer is embedded in the Windows operating system, which in case of infection or attack on the computer puts the system itself under attack.
Mozilla Firefox ranks second in vulnerability, but the developers of this program quite often release updates for their browser, which, accordingly, increases security. It is also worth adding that, unlike Explorer, Firefox is not sewn into the OS and therefore safer than the above competitor.
The most reliable browser, in terms of protection, is Opera at the moment.
Before you start comparing programs on this factor, you should immediately determine what is at stake.
When a user installs a browser, he should know that there are a lot of additional programs, or so-called plug-ins, which make the browser more functional and convenient.
I will compare browsers, given their additional features (plugins).
The most functional browser is certainly Mozilla Firefox, which has a lot more useful plugins than its competitors.
The second place can be safely given to Opera, since the starting functionality of this browser (that is, without additional programs) is generally leading, but in the matter of plug-in capabilities this program loses to Firefox.
This comparison closes, as in the previous test, Internet Explorer – its functionality is clearly worse than that of competitors.
Studies on this basis have been carried out by many different expert laboratories. As a basis, I took a well-known study conducted by the test lab “Tom`s Hardware Guide”. There is no doubt that their decision is fair, since the conclusions as a whole do not contradict the results of other experts.
So, the fastest among browsers is Opera.
Mozilla Firefox is in second place, although the lag behind the leader is relatively small.
And according to a sad tradition, it closes the three browsers under study – Internet Explorer, which is the slowest browser.
Awarding and summarizing
The winner is the Opera browser, which won in two of the three tests, and in the second place.
Mozilla Firefox is in second place, with one first and two second places.
The third (it is also the last) place without pity is given to Internet Explorer, which in all three nominations took the last line.
In the end, I would like to say that no, even the best, safest and fastest browser will save you if you (hereinafter referred to as points):
– You will go to suspicious sites;
– you will download or, worse, open downloaded suspicious unknown files and programs;
– You will forget to regularly check your computer with antivirus;
– You will forget to stably update anti-virus databases.
Good luck with your work on the Internet!
