And all the same, people with tenacity worthy of the best application, hammer and hammer the same thing: blogging, search engine optimization, promotion, earnings. Well, there would be professionals – SEO experts, web designers or programmers. So no, after all! Numerous bloggers subscribe to each other’s RSS feeds, read each other, then comment on each other, then write reviews … In general, they cook in their own juice. And a little sense.

In this regard, for some reason I recall the novel by Ilf and Petrov, “Twelve Chairs.” Remember the beginning? “There were so many hairdressing salons and funeral processions in county town N that the residents seemed to be born only to shave, cut their hair, freshen up their head with a vetal and die immediately.” So it is in our blogosphere. We continue. “How to lose weight”. The question is, indeed, relevant. “How to delete a page in a contact.” Again VKontakte! Still, I won’t register there: there, many are already tired, they are deleting their pages. “How to quit smoking”. “How to tie a tie.” And only in eighth place is the question “How to create your own website”, and then, in ninth, “How to make money on the Internet”. And the topic “In Contact” closes the top ten questions with “how”: “How to download video from a contact”. So, Internet users are primarily interested in love, communication, health, beauty, and earnings too. Everything is within normal limits.

We found out the questions, now let’s try to figure out the answers. I decided to move in order, but skip questions on VKontakte. So what do we see? To the question “How to kiss,” Yandex found 2 million answers. “How to tie a tie” – also 2 million. “How to lose weight” – 5 million (I thought there would be more). “How to quit smoking” – 7 million. And finally, “How to make money on the Internet” – 14 million answers (twice as much as about smoking, and seven times as much as about kisses). And the apotheosis: “How to create your website” – 266 (!) Million answers!

Judge for yourself whether it is worth sculpting the next, 266 000 001th masterpiece on this burning topic, and is there a chance for a beginner to break into this topic at least in the first million, not to mention the first thousand and especially the hundred. Even if he, this newcomer, will follow absolutely all the recommendations of numerous “gurus”: publish daily new articles and notes (certainly only original!), Comment on the blogs of his rival colleagues, immediately respond to comments made by them on his blog, give the most serious attention of search engine optimization (or, conversely, not to think about it at all), actively communicate on forums and try to make yourself a brand. There is practically no time for sleeping and eating. But this, according to the assurances of those same gurus, doesn’t matter: the main thing is promotion and promotion!

No, really. If someone really wants to express their opinion on this issue, let this someone first create their own blog on a different topic (or several blogs, or many), then it (them) will be properly promoted, it will make a lot of money, and only then shares experience. Real, practical own experience, and not “thoughts about”. Then there will be no problems with readers.
