Laptop screen (display), matrix
The tasks that will be set for the laptop computer play a decisive role in the question of which laptop to buy. It is more convenient to work with a large display, but compactness and less weight have its positive sides.
You can buy a laptop with a display diagonal of 17 and 15.4 inches for both games and office work. As a rule, such laptops due to their size are equipped no worse than any desktop computer and are fully capable of replacing it. If you are constantly on the go, then the mobility factor is very important for you, so the best option is to buy a laptop with a screen of 10 or 12 inches.

This technology is still used in budget models due to its low cost.
To date, the best option is to buy a laptop with a matrix made using Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment (MVA) technology. These displays have better color reproduction compared to TN, high brightness and contrast. The average response time is 25 ms. Viewing angles in such matrices are quite sufficient – up to 160 degrees.
IPS (In Plane Switching) matrices have the best color rendering. Visibility can reach 180 degrees both horizontally and vertically. But if you want to buy a laptop with such a matrix, then keep in mind that the display will have a long reaction time and increased power consumption. Plus, technology is still expensive.
In the specifications for laptops, manufacturers do not indicate the type of matrix, but only additional technologies used to improve image quality. Many Samsung and ASUS laptops use TN + Film matrices, while Fujitsu laptops are characterized by the use of MVA technology. Be that as it may, in some models they achieve either a good response time and a long battery life, while others focus on image quality.
To improve image quality, manufacturers use additional coatings on their displays. In this way, achieve greater brightness and increase viewing angles. Before you buy a laptop, pay attention to the cover of the display. If the screen surface is dull, then you will be protected from glare. On a glossy surface, glare is more likely, but the image on such screens looks brighter.
The runtime of a laptop on a single battery charge is an important criterion when choosing. The laptop is most often used as a laptop computer, so the operating time should be maximum. Otherwise, it may turn off at the most inopportune moment. If you intend to buy a laptop, taking into account the constant proximity to the power source, the battery capacity becomes less important.
